During the month of June, GLXi is celebrating teachers with a special initiative! In Guatemala, Teachers Day is celebrated on June 25.
There are still many Guatemalan teachers who dream of brighter futures for themselves and their students! We are looking for awesome sponsors that help us bring literacy and technology across the country!
Each $50 per month sponsorship helps bring all our program benefits to each public school teacher:
A physical library of over 85 books and a digital library of more than 400 books.
Educational materials and school supplies.
Technological resources (a projector and a Chromebook to use in their classes).
Accreditation in our “Open Books, Open Minds” program, backed by the Guatemalan Ministry of Education.
Ongoing training in inclusive education through our “Open Minds in Action” program.
Professional development for each teacher, as they earn Ministry of Education valued credits with every course.
By sponsoring a teacher, you’re fueling the daily work of reading and writing for Guatemalan children to thrive, while supporting teachers in their professional development and empowering communities across the country.
